My husband and I contacted Descco to finish our basement which included an exercise room, sitting room, full bath, and a family room area. Project manager Tim Heffner, met with us to go over initial details to determine our needs and vision. He presented us with a detailed plan of the proposed renovation and discussed the next steps. The actual project went very smoothly. Carpenter, Bryan, did a great job transforming the space. The sub contractors that were used were also very professional and carried out their duties as described. Tim stopped by often to check on the progress of the project. We were kept up to date on any delays, which were few and far between. We are enjoying the space and have received many complaints about the project. This project was a major renovation of an existing office space that had been damaged when a sprinkler pipe broke below the floor and flooded the entire area. The renovation was phased allowing operations adjacent to the construction site to remain operational.
DESCCO provided exceptional pre-construction planning, coordination, and collaboration with other trades in order to meet the challenging schedule and complete construction in time for our open house. Ryan Conrad, Project Manager, met with me, the design team, and other contractors on a regular basis to ensure the project was on schedule. Safety barriers, walls, and walkways were provided by DESCCO to ensure the safety of my staff at all times.
Loud construction activities were completed early in the morning in an effort to reduce the disruptiveness to my staff. Jason Larish, foreman, made sure that the quality of construction was consistent, and it really shows in the final product. The renovated office space looks great! I look forward to working with DESCCO Design & Construction on future projects.

After reading your email, I learned that you have a scholarship at Penn College! I just wanted to take a moment to thank you for having a scholarship at such a tremendous school. The opportunities that the students receive at that campus astound me.
As a side note, my daughter is a “Wildcat” currently. She is not in the “trades” (she’s in the Physician Assistant’s combined BS/MS program) but loves the campus and loves what the school has to offer. She was a transfer student in her freshman year and has never looked back! The more I learn about the campus, the more I think it is so underrated!
It’s because of wonderful companies such as yours that students get the opportunity to earn scholarships for continuing their education at such a great school. I just wanted to thank you for that! The number of different opportunities that Pennsylvania College of Technology has to offer their students is just wonderful. Those students are very fortunate that companies recognize the schools that support the trades (and beyond).
