Earning a competitive construction bid is always an exciting time for us here at DESCCO Design and Construction. The Calvary United Methodist Church in Wyomissing, PA needed updated bathrooms in their building, and DESCCO was lucky enough to receive the project!
Each of the building’s three floors needed accessible bathrooms to be added, and on one of the floors required a bearing wall to be removed and replaced with a steel beam to make enough room. This made the project a little more complex than a simple addition and renovation, but we were ready for the task!
Each of the restroom fit outs that we completed for Calvary United Methodist involved installing ceramic tile wall covering and sheet vinyl Med-Tech flooring, as well as toilet partitions, baby changing stations, and all the other necessary bathroom accessories. We added sensor lighting and fan controls, which will help the church to control their energy expenditure and keep their costs down.
With this project, DESCCO was not only able to improve the look, function, and accessibility of the Calvary United Methodist Church, but we brought the structure up to code as well. We were very happy for the opportunity to complete this project, and we’re thrilled with the way it turned out!
