We are currently hiring a Commercial Construction Lead Carpenter in the Berks and Lancaster County PA areas to oversee and provide support for commercial construction projects in industries like retail, office, healthcare, church, and food service. Qualifications Under Your TOOLbelt Should Include
- Strong leadership, interpersonal and organizational skills
- Excellent verbal communication skills, as well as problem solving capabilities
- Solid technical background with hands-on experience
- Knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, and OSHA guidelines
- 3+ years’ experience under your belt as a Carpenter
- Valid PA driver’s license and good driving history
Scope of Work for the Lead Carpenter
- Review and become familiar with Project Scope, drawings, schedule, etc. as directed by the Superintendent or Project Manager. Ensure adherence to the same.
- Lead the day-to-day operations of the on-site construction team.
- Assist as needed with vendors and subcontractors to coordinate order of materials, equipment, deliveries, and work.
- Perform carpentry, cleanup, repair, and punch list items as needed
- Ensure quality standards are met.
- Follow the project timeline to ensure deadlines are met.
- Monitor and ensure on-site safety compliance, cleanliness, and orderliness.
- Maintain records for site personnel such as daily field reports and time sheets.
- Liaison with inspection authorities regarding approvals.
