The Position:
We are hiring a full-time Heavy Construction Project Manager to work in areas of bridge, wastewater treatment, and industrial construction. Our Project Manager requires a diverse skill set that combines technical knowledge, leadership abilities, communication skills, and a strong understanding of construction processes.

Skills & Responsibilities:
1. Construction Expertise:
- In-depth knowledge of heavy construction methods, equipment, and techniques.
- Familiarity with various construction materials and their applications.
- Understanding of project scheduling, sequencing, and critical path analysis in construction projects.
2. Leadership and Team Management:
- Excellent leadership skills to guide and motivate teams of diverse professionals, including engineers, contractors, and subcontractors.
- Capacity to delegate tasks, provide clear instructions, and manage conflicts when they arise.
3. Communication:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with stakeholders, clients, regulatory bodies, and team members.
- Active listening and the ability to convey complex technical information in understandable terms.
4. Problem-Solving and Decision-Making:
- Aptitude for identifying potential issues, analyzing problems, and making effective decisions to keep projects on track.
- Critical thinking skills to find innovative solutions to challenges that arise during construction.
5. Risk Management:
- Ability to identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with heavy construction projects.
- Implementation of safety protocols to ensure the well-being of all personnel on the construction site.
6. Negotiation and Contract Management:
- Skill in negotiating contracts, change orders, and managing vendor relationships to optimize project costs and outcomes.
7. Technical Proficiency:
- Proficiency with construction-related software, project management tools, and relevant technologies.
8. Adaptability and Resilience:
- Ability to adapt to changing project conditions, unexpected challenges, and fluctuating work environments inherent to heavy construction projects.
9. Interpersonal Skills:
- Strong interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with stakeholders, resolve conflicts, and collaborate effectively.
10. Health and Safety Awareness:
- Deep understanding of construction site safety protocols and a commitment to ensuring a safe working environment for all personnel.
11. Business Acumen:
- Understanding of financial aspects such as budgeting, cost analysis, and profitability to ensure successful project outcomes.

Qualifications:
- 10 years of practical experience or a degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Project Manager, with a successful track record of managing projects from conception to completion.
